Igado is a dish that is arguably one of the best made in the Philippines. It’s comforting, delicious, and reminds me of home every time I taste it. Whether it's for lunch, dinner, or even breakfast, Igado always hits the spot. For me, Igado is best when made with utmost dedication and love. So, in this blog, I’ll show you how to make this perfect dish that's perfect to share with your loved ones.




What is Igado

      
Igado is a popular Ilocano dish made with pork tenderloin and pig’s  liver, kidney, and heart. It’s cooked in a tangy soy sauce and vinegar mix with garlic, onions, and bay leaves. While it’s similar to pork menudo, Igado has a richer, more savory flavor, often served with green peas and bell peppers for added color and taste.

The ingredients you'll need for the recipe:








For Family of 5-6 people:
  • 1 kg of Pork
  • 2 1/4 kg of Liver
  • 3 pcs of Onions
  • 4 cloves of Garlic
  • 4 cans of Green Peas
  • 3 to 4 cans of Reno Liver Spread
  • 6 pcs of bell pepper
